Is Mochiart Cafe the best coffee in Tulum, Mexico??!

I have traveled around the world and had some amazing coffee. When you visit a new city like Tulum, Mexico you sometimes don’t know what to expect. While I going to grab breakfast one morning during my holiday I found Mochiart Cafe ! A cute little cart with professional latte experience, before Mochiart I’ve had around 6 local coffee shops. As of this point, no one was creating anything special until I meet them. I decided to grab a cortado and just relax on the side of the road. I would have to tell you that my coffee was perfect. Coffee had great flavor with a perfect pull and latte art, I couldn’t have asked for a better cup of coffee.

You don’t have to come to Tulum, Mexico, to explore the local street food scene. There are a few places to explore in Tulum, but the best street food hotspots in the city are the street food markets at Plaza Municipio, Parque do Aguas, Avenida Tulum and Calle Sol Ote.

I first visited this place on my last trip in 2021 and it quickly became my favorite restaurant in Tulum. Tulum is a serious food destination and the great restaurants in the town are one of the main reasons I fell in love with the city. The Tulums restaurant is known for its ceviche towers and has met my expectations.

They have a second location in Tulum Pueblo, and their main location is on the beach as part of the Ahau Hotel. I tried their fish tacos ($2) and their shrimp tacos ($250) at La Valeta. The fish tacos were delicious, but the shrimp tacos were a bit too small and the shrimp were better in my opinion.

I have mentioned a few times that food is much more expensive in the beach area than in the city. In the case of the Tulum Pueblo location, this is a place with good food and excellent service. The Macondo is slightly more expensive, but it is still one of the best restaurants in Tulum.

The two best places to enjoy the sun, sand and sea in the middle of the beach area are Ziggys Beach and Coco Tulum, both fantastic all-day beach clubs with top quality food and drink with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas. The former is more suitable for families and groups and offers a quiet day with live music, while the latter is even more suitable for couples and singles and offers a lively atmosphere with EDM music throughout the day. There are hotels in the zone and elsewhere, not to mention Macondo, Nomade, Gitano, Hartwood and Casa Jaguar, but most of these places are overrun by the famous Tulum food scene.

Beach Town is a collection of hotels, restaurants and shops about a kilometer to 4 kilometers north and in the center of the beach zone. I was with a group at the Tulum Beach Club and it’s the most beautiful beach club.

If you are in downtown Tulum, you have plenty of options to eat and drink on foot. This can be a bit intimidating at first glance. During the day, you can see people in the beach area of Tulum riding through the streets with bicycle carts and refrigerators carrying food and drinks. You will see locals drive past the carts to grab a bite to eat or drink.

Tacos al pastor with chicken, fish, guacamole and homemade tortilla chips. It’s part of a food truck park with a few other food trucks and a bar called TulumUnchie on Tulum Beach Road.

When we stopped for lunch in Cenote Calavera this morning, we were pleasantly surprised. Many people said the restaurant service wasn’t great, but when we left, the food was actually okay. This is one of the cheapest places to eat and drink in the beach area of the hotel and is situated on the roof of the Ciel de Rose making it ideal to blend in anywhere in between.

We do not think the restaurant is worth the price compared to other fantastic restaurants in Tulum, but it is a nice place to go after sunset. There are many places in Tulum where you can enjoy your coffee and put up a swing. If you’re having a drink on the beach or a taco spot on the beach on a Tuesday, this is the place for you.

Best of all, Cara Feliz has tons of books to read while you enjoy your coffee. There is also a beautiful rear courtyard, which you do not see when entering. Turn left to reach North Beach Zone a quiet and romantic area with great hotels, restaurants and ancient Mayan ruins.

Whether it’s a caffeinated hot drink to start the day or an ice cream to cool off in the sun, find the best coffee in Tulum. From cute little carts to professional latte experiences, Mochiart had 6 local coffee shops. Go to this list of cafes (in alphabetical order, not in order of preference).

The menu offers a variety of dishes and the café offers fantastic coffee. Vegetarian burritos are delicious at the highest level thanks to the salsa bar with habanero guacamole. I could have added a pizzeria to that list, but I broke a kind of cardinal rule and wanted to make sure we included as many places as we ate in Tulum.

There are an alarming number of pizza places in Tulum, but Pizzine really stood out for its price, general mood and delicious pizza portions. If you’re looking for the best tacos in town, they should be at the top of your list. This small food truck is located in the city of Tulum and is one of the only ones with a bar, and the bar is fabulous.

Although Kibok coffee is a popular place for breakfast and lunch in Tulum and Pueblo, it is not our favorite. In Tulum, food is so popular that you can’t get it anywhere else in the city.

There are two places, Instagram Hotspot and Hotel Zone, in the city of Tulum, tucked away in semi-quiet streets. I prefer the former because it is less crowded, more spacious and has a nicer atmosphere.

The rooms and suites are equipped with yoga mats, minibar, daily delivery of coffee and tea, and the master suite has a soaking tub and a large private terrace overlooking the beach. Mestixa is one of the best restaurants in Tulum, where quality ingredients shine. The menu combines Mexican and Asian street food flavors, and they don’t call it fusion but mestizaje (blending ) when they eat food from a culture and reproduce its elements.
